Fantastic Four - 2015

Task: In this shot, I had to Paint out the actor wearing the motion capture suit. I had to rebuild the interior room, walls, and doors, as well as color correct them for the flickering lights. After that I rotoscoped and pulled key's to bring back the main character in the FG so I could pass this off to the Compositer:  Gary Lopez to add the room debris and CG "Thing" integration for final composite.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. - 2015

Task: In these shots - the prosthetic latex mask was glued to the actors face. The problem was the mouth and chin area kept wrinkling and making folds in the latex causing that area to look really bad on screen.
First, I took a still in focus frame into photoshop and made a neutral clean plate for the chin, lower lip, and sides of mouth. Next, I broke the patches up and used the combination of planar tracker, 2d tracker, and camera tracker to track in each patch to the face. Then I used a corner pin and grid warper to counter animate the talking and stretching skin areas to match the actors dialog. Finally, I added a color correct node to adjust for animating shadows and highlights on the skin to make this shot as seamless as possible.
